Surrounded by water in the seaport city of Saint John, New Brunswick, I am often drawn to the changing skies and waterways in the region’s seaside and rivers, and the emotions they evoke. Saints Rest Beach, at Irving Nature Park, is a place where I am often astounded by the beauty and power of the Bay of Fundy’s tides and turbulence, as conveyed in this painting.
