Translating to “tea time,” the title of this painting refers to time spent with a close friend over a cup of hot tea. While tea time is a tradition in many cultures, I decided to keep the title in French as my personal experience comes from time spent as a university student in France living with a French woman, now a dear friend due to the often-intimate conversations we would have over a pot of hot tea.
